  • County Centenary Launch Party: 6th Sept 2009
    Held at LC2 in Swansea- places need to be booked by June.
  • Adventure 100: From Sept 2009 Centenary challenge badge
  • Thinking Day- Division level: Feb 2010 Celebration will be held at division level- no confirmed plans at the moment
  • Thinking Day - Wales: 20th-21st Feb 2010 Will be a Welsh event held in south Wales- no confirmed plans at the moment
  • Teddy Bear's Picnic & Easter Egg Hunt: 20th March 2010 Held at St Pauls Parish Centre & Grounds, Sketty
  • Caradiff City Adventure - Senior Section: 26th - 28th March 2010 More info to come
  • All Wales Bag Packing - All sections: 27th March - 3rd April 2010 Likely to be at Tesco & Sainsbury
  • Brownie Centenary Sleepover: 9th-16th April 2010 Held at Parkmill, all units to be able to 'sleepover' for one night during the week
  • Guides Take Over Broneirion: 16th-18th April 2010 Organised by CHQ
  • Guiders weekend at Parkmill: 1st - 3rd May 2010 More to follow
  • Guides Pitch and Munch: 5th - 6th June 2010 Pitch tent, eat something Welsh & take photos - prizes for most unusual
  • Rainbows Go Wild at Folly Farm: 12th June 2010 West Glamorgan Rainbow Units day trip- places booked by June
  • Brownies Take over a Castle: 19th June 2010 As County has no suitable castles- West Glam Brownies will be having a princess and castle themed party.
  • Guides/Senior Section Beach BBQ: 3rd July 2010
  • National (UK) Centenary Camp: 31st July- 7th August 2010 Held just outside Leeds- Guiders to take 3 guides- or Guiders to go as staff. Number of SSWIGS sound interested and so could camp together in Staff area.
  • Welsh Centenary Camp: 15th-21st August 2010 Bronieren
  • Promise Renewal Ceremony: 20th October @ 20:10 Plan is for every member of GirlGuiding UK to renew promise at same time- using live satellite link. At the moment not sure if will be at division/county level and location is still being looked into.

SSWIGS Stampede

  • SSWIGS have several members taking part in the Girlguiding 100 years celebrations by taking part in the Stampede across Europe along with members from our sister club in Cardiff.
