Poland
Now we are back from Poland after a successful trip, you can read all about our trip here.
SSWIGS in Polska
After several months of planning, SSWIGS (Swansea) undertook the first foreign trip of any SSAGO affiliated club to Poland from June 22nd to 28th, staying in the Goodbye Lenin Hostel in the centre of Krakow. It was a mascot, Derek(ski)’s, first ever time abroad, and he was very excited!
Whilst in the city, we had a guided tour of the old town, visiting the castle and cathedral on Wawel Hill; visited caves where we met Smok the real fire breathing dragon!, conquered one members ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) at the aquarium, went sliding down flumes at the aqua park, went up mountains (admittedly by cable car and ski lift) and took the quicker way down via the ski jump!, and visited the national park. Oh, and of course there was time to sample the traditional Polish vodka and beer, and the fantastic Krakovian nightlife!
Massive thanks to Claire(ski) for undertaking the most part of the organisation of the trip, it would never have been able to run so smoothly without the work and effort you put in. Also thanks to everyone else who played a part in the organisation, you ensured a fantastic time was had by all!
